From August 1, 2020, Van Yen cassia, Yen Bai province is one of 39 products of Vietnam protected by the EU when implementing the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). Vietnamese cassia products are widely consumed in markets such as the US, EU, Middle East, Japan, China, and India... Particularly in India, 80% of the country's
imported cassia output comes from Vietnam...

According to experts, cassia and star anise are not only spices but are also used a lot in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries, added to coffee, matcha, and other beverages. Minh Ngoc Production and Import-Export Joint Stock Company own a cassia material area of 500 hectares in Yen Bai province, 500 hectares in Van Ban (Lao Cai province), star anise material area of 800 hectares in Lang Son...

Minh Ngoc Production and Import-Export Joint Stock Company have built a large-capacity spice processing factory in the Yen Bai cassia material area. The factory covers an area of 1700 m2 with a processing capacity of 2,000 tons of fresh cassia per year. The factory creates stable, regular jobs for nearly 100 local workers and more than 300 seasonal workers, many of whom are ethnic minorities.

Currently, the company's products from cinnamon and anise are being exported to many countries: India, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, USA, Korea, Singapore, Pakistan, and Bangladesh... Minh Ngoc's goal in 5 upcoming years will be to continue to maintain and replicate the organic production model, consolidate our leading position in the cassia industry, export star anise, raise the brand name of cassia and Vietnamese star anise in the world market and gradually take the lead in the Vietnamese spice industry.
